As I sit here writing this I have realized that I broke a promise to myself. I had promised myself at the start of May that I was going to dedicate time to my blog. I declared to myself that I had nothing better to do and that I was going to finally start this journey. Yet here I am the end of June with very few posts and no following. However, I have realized that it is never too late to start something. So here I sit prepping for the month of July hoping that it is full of new adventures that I will be able to post about. Yet before I start my July posts I thought it would be appropriate to do a month in review for June.
June started and so did summer. Long pool days became a must and I chose to fill mine reading Girl, Stop Apologizing. I don’t want to give much away because I am planning to write a full book review but I definitely recommend this book. It has given me a new perspective and helped me become more confident.
After spending days at the pool or on the rainy Missouri days I find myself searching for a show to watch. I spent much of June watching “Dynasty”. This show has so many twists and turns I never really know what to expect. If you are one who likes dramas and shows about families this one is for you.
Besides watching tv and spending time at the pool I also found myself working a lot throughout June. Being back at my job after having so much time off due to Corona felt good. I am beyond lucky to have a mini family at my job and being back with everyone has made the new normal so much better.
This June has been a month full of laughs, tears, and personal growth. It sounds cheesy to say but through my (at least) weekly yoga classes, self-help books, and so much more I feel that I have been able to start working on becoming the best version of myself. I sit here now writing this with a smile on my face, feeling happy and healthy. I can’t wait to continue writing and sharing throughout July as I continue to go on adventures and work on my personal growth.
