To the Ballet 3 Babes,

Updated: Aug 6, 2020

Think back to September, the Cardinals are in the playoffs. Most of us typically do not care about sports but this is different. It is a reason for us to have a themed ballet class. We all show up in red, white, jerseys, and tutus. Cheering the cardinals on while leaping across the floor. Flash forward a few weeks to Halloween. Another night full of laughs. We dressed up as princesses, fairies, basketball players and so much more. We had bring your friend to dance night, and snack Sundays. We danced to ringtones and made memes. We wore funky Christmas socks and senior babe leotards. When it came time for Nutcracker we made an amazing playlist and jammed to “Take a Hint”, Ariana Grande, and Hannah Montanna. Flash forward a few months and we are all dancing alone in our basements, kitchens or living rooms. I could go on forever about the big events that I’m supposed to miss. However, the truth is I miss standing at the barre doing Tik Tok dances when no one is looking. I miss laughing because no one remembers the combination and the piano version of “Hotline Bling”. I miss the high fives, hugs, and huddles. When this year started no one knew how it would end but I am lucky enough to say that it ended with us all being best friends. We may not have had a recital or in-person classes at the end but we still made hundreds of memories that will last me a lifetime. So much happened this year and all that is left for me to say is thank you. Thank you for the little moments. Thank you for the laughs, the pep talks, and the shoulders to cry on. Thank you for being the best people and only people I wanted to spend my Monday, Wednesdays, and Sundays with.

Lots of love,

Sarah
