While 18 I will...

If I learned one major thing this last year it is that you never know what is going to happen. Even though we all know this it is not a reason to ignore any goals and promises that you make to yourself. Instead of just thinking of my goals and promises for the next year in my head I have decided to write them down so that I can hold myself to them. Each point completes the sentence; while 18 I will...
Try a new thing at least once a month
Like most people, I get into my regular schedule and end up doing the same thing every day. This year I want to challenge myself to try something new at least once a month if not more.
Find Me time
I get busy and neglect to take care of myself. This year I am making a promise to myself to have weekly me time.
Make my bed every day
I heard once that if you make your bed every morning you will have a better day because you will have accomplished one thing. I want to see if this is true, so I have decided that I am going to make my bed every day.
Wear SPF
I am known for always being sunburnt, especially on my nose. I want to take care of my skin more, and so I have decided that I am going to start wearing SPF on my face every day to prevent the burn.
Find the positive
I make mountains out of hills and tend to find the negative. I want to change that and start to find the underlying positive in things. The more positive in life the happier people are.
Continue my dream of having a blog
Blogging has become something that makes me happy. It is something that I hope to continue so I am telling myself right now that I am going to make time for Sarabearas Adventure all year long.
Chase any and all dreams no matter how crazy they are
I shut down my own dreams, I think about how they could never happen, or how they are stupid. I want to give them all a chance this year. We all have seen that you never know what is going to happen so I want to live my best life while I’m here.
Learn how to dance in the rain
This is kinda my way of saying I want to be carefree. I can be a control freak, and always want everything to be perfect however, I hope to change that mindset this year and learn how to let go.
Love myself
I want to stare at myself in the mirror and be happy with what I see. I want to love myself enough to know what I need to be happy and healthy. I want 18 to be the year of me. The year I take care of myself and make myself happy.
Learn more about myself
I can’t wait to try new things and learn more about myself along the way. Figuring out who I am is something that I am beyond excited to do.
Journal
Everyone says journaling is so great and lets them get things off their chest. I have tried to journal from time to time but never stick to it. This year I am challenging myself to write down how I feel instead of bottling it up.
Let little things go
If it won’t matter tomorrow why am I obsessing about it today? I want to spend less time worrying and stressing about the little things.
VOTE
I am beyond excited for this one. I can’t wait to vote in my first presidential election in November, and in the local elections coming up. This may be the one thing that I was most excited about when turning 18.
Learn how to declutter
I don’t think I really need my math homework from 8th grade or that paper I wrote 4 years ago. I need to learn to let things go both physically and mentally. This year I hope to declutter both my mind and space.
Practice gratitude
I have so many things to be thankful for. This year I want to really realize that and practice gratitude on a daily basis.
Cross one thing off my bucket list
I like most people have a bucket list on my phone full of big and little things I want to do. This year I will cross one thing off of that bucket list.
Read
I use to love to read. When I was little my dad use to take me to the book store and we would spend hours there. It was one of my happy places. This year I want to dive back into reading and spend time going on adventures that have been written out.
Live my best life each and every day
Chessy I know, but the best way to make this year count is by living each and every day to the fullest even if I don’t leave my home.
I can’t wait to make new memories and take hundreds of adventures this year. If 18 is anything like 17 it will be a great year. Heres to a new journey.
